I went to Colgate University to earn my bachelor's degree in cellular neuroscience. I then took the MCAT, and I'm now looking forward to medical school. I've over two years of experience tutoring students at the high school level. I believe every student learns differently, so I need to be prepared with multiple approaches and creativity to find the way that each student I work with learns best. Strong communication between the student and myself is crucial for me to figure out how to help them effectively. I enjoy tutoring math and science, and I'm adept at relating concepts to things students see in their daily lives. My favorite subject to tutor is physics, because I get to help students develop problem-solving skills, which is applicable for them in all subjects and in life. I also enjoy helping students prepare for standardized exams like the ACT, SAT, and others. When I have free time, I like to read, listen to music, live a healthy lifestyle, play rugby, and practice Brazilian jiu jitsu. I also volunteer as a crisis counselor.
